October 11, 2017 Chris LordCupcake Wars - Star Bakers (Georgia, Charlotte, Vanessa and Jorja)

Oh my, it was tense in Sweet Indulgence this week,  as the cupcake wars competition was in full swing. The class was spit into 5 teams of 4 students and each group had to make 2 different fruity cupcakes, to demonstrate their skills they learnt in previous weeks. The staff-room was excited to sample many of these delightful cupcakes and then staff emailed all the students feedback. After looking at the feedback and how well each team had worked together, it was that  Georgia, Charlotte, Vanessa and Jorja were this weeks Star Bakers , for their apple and caramel  and lime monster cupcakes, as they were best decorated and garnished and showed two different styles

Well doen to Arthur, Olivia and Alvina from 8E, who won the first of the Healthy Eating Life skills Cereal product design task. All Y8 Einstein students had to design and m,make their own healthy cereal bar/bite product or granola, in small groups. Some were healthier than others, some held their shape better and some tasted better, but the winners managed to get the balance between all three aspects just right, with their dried fruit and cashew rice crispy bites

June 15, 2017 Chris LordNatalie Leung - Baking Business (Bread and Butter)

Well done to Natalie who has decided to set up her own baking Business, called Bread and Butter, to keep herself busy and follow her passion during the summer holidays. She is one of the most talented young bakers I have ever taught and got the highest grade in her recent GCSE Practical exam. I would certainly use her services if I had a party or event that needs some sweet treats or a decorated cake. More details can be found here: https://www.instagram.com/breadandbutter.hk/
