Some Great Year 9 Lamps

Here are just a few of the fabulous lamps that were created in year 9 in my classes.  I was really impressed with the students commitment towards the end of the year as we pushed on through lunches to finish off the work.  Well done to all that finished their work!

Another Round of Clock Designs from Year 8

Here are another set of brilliant clocks from our year 8’s. There are some great abstract and quirky designs from this group and what’s more, they all finished with time to spare!!  Well done this group!!

Lovin’ this!!

Love what Liam is developing here for his mood light!!  Great stuff!!  Just goes to show how a simple idea can have a dramatic effect!

Great commitment to design!!

Want to share this photo of John who came into the lesson today with a box full of components he has brought in for his lamp. This sort of commitment to the design process and his outcome is the sort of thing that makes projects happen. It is such a great thing to see and I hope he inspires others by this to engage as fully with their projects. Well done John!!

Designers of the Week

What’s a pleasure it was to come back to this group of individuals after soanynweeks away. What was fabulous to return to was an amazing level of engagement with their projects. All the students had either brought something in or had undertaken further independent research and really pushed their design thinking forward. So this week I would like to celebrate this whole class!  Nice job everyone and keep it up!!
