Jason Lin (10R) – Upper School MasterChef Winner 2014

Well done to Jason, who won the Upper School MasterChef competition, at this years Spring fair. He performed amazingly, showing a large range of skills and techniques, and produced two superbly presented dished that tasted delicious. This is a brilliant achievement as he beat many other competitors from the 6th form. Russell Doctroive (ex-land school student and head Chef at Fish and Meat restaurant), judged the competition said “there is no way i could have produced dishes of that standard aged 14.”  

Featured Chef – Ravin Schmidl

I would like to congratulate Ravin for the skill he has shown throughout the GCSE Food Tech, course. His final product of a Pineapple, Mango and Coconut Meringue Pie showed excellent skill, tasted absolutely amazing and was a great twist on an classic dessert. He has also helped with the catering for events and just won the cake decorating competition, due to his piping skill.
